The Loyd Star Lady Hornets and the Wesson Cobras were victorious in high school soccer action Tuesday night at the Hansel Kin Sportsplex.

In the girls match, the Lady Hornets beat the Lady Cobras in a 4-0 shutout. Lesley Walker, had two goals and Madisyn Brister scored a goal with an assist from Mallory Holden.

Holden also scored with an assist from Madisyn Brister. Defense was led by Shelby Richardson with 15 clearances followed by Starr Thomas with eight and Morgyn Brister with five. Goalie, Pollyanna Patterson had two saves.

In the boys contest, it was a tight game that went into overtime for the Hornet boys. The Wesson Cobras won the match 1-0 on a penalty kick.

Hornets goalie, Hayden Brownlee, had 15 saves, Sweeper, Lane Rogers had 12 clearances followed by Dylan Smith and Brett Calcote with nine each, Cameron Smith with eoght and Bailey Smith with five.
