Puckett exterminates Jackets

PUCKETT – The Puckett Wolves clib back into the win column Friday night after exterminating the Enterprise Yellow Jackets 33-8 in high school football action.
Freshmen running back Tanner Waldrop cashed in Enterprise’s only touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 55-yard sprint. The Jacket were successful on their two-point conversion as Zach Hodges completed a pass to Layne Brown.
Waldrop directed Enterprise’s offensive ground attack with nine rushes for 100 yards. Chance Lacking also had a good game running the ball with nine rushes for 75 yards.
Hodges completed four-of-eight passes for 30 yards and one interception. Layne Brown was the top receiver with two catches for 20 yards.
Defensively, Jeffrey Daniels paced the Jackets with 11 tackles. Waldrop contributed nine tackles.
Enterprise returns home to welcome the Leake County Gators to Harry Cole Field Friday. Kickoff is set to start at 7 p.m.
