A fatality occurred Sunday night involving one vehicle and one motorcycle.

A little before 8 p.m., Mozel Jackson was pulling into his driveway on Brignall Road when a motorcycle, traveling north, drove into the side of his car.

The driver of the motorcycle, Jarvis Blue, was transported to a hospital in Jackson where he was pronounced dead later that night around midnight.

Police Chief Bobby Bell reported Blue, 25, of Brookhaven, was overtaking another vehicle when he collided with Jackson’s car. Bell stated the accident is still under investigation.

No other injuries were reported.
