The Coach-Pitch and Little League championship brought plenty of excitement to Dr. A.L. Lott field Monday night as Smith 84E Carwash took on Williams Mortuary for the Coach-Pitch championship.

In opening game of the championship, William Mortuary handed Smith 84E their first loss of the tournament by claiming a 12-2 victory to force a decisive game two contest.

With the game tied 7-all after five innings of action in game two, Deon Dixon help his Smith 84E Carwash team capture a 8-7 win and the championship trophy after hitting a game winning single to send home teammate Caleb Jett, who singled earlier. Corey Smith was also on base after recording a single.

In the Little League championship, Magnolia Graphics survived an offensive thriller in game one to remain undefeated in tournament action after knocking off the Lilly Hill Stickz 24-21 in a late barnburner.

Lilly Hill, trailing 19-9, made an amazing comeback in the bottom of the fifth inning to capture a brief lead.

Magnolia managed to bounce back and answered the Stickz challenge in the top of the sixth inning as they managed to capitalize on a few defensive miscues from Lilly Hill and put together a couple of clutch hits to rally back and claim the win.

Pony League tournament action starts today as Terry Bates take on DA COOP in the opener starting at 6 p.m. The Lilly Hill Stickz will battle the Summit/McComb Bluejays at 7:30 p.m.

Girls Softball League Tournament action is schedule to start Thursday at 6 p.m.
