Work will get started on two local bridges this week.
Construction is set to begin Monday on a project on South Washington Street in District One in the county. The south end of Washington Street will be closed for approximately one week for bridge repair, officials said, and drivers are advised to take an alternative route. The project is expected to take approximately one week.
In addition, Greenview Trail will be closed starting this week for approximately six weeks to replace a bridge with a new concrete culvert. The specific date for the closure to begin is dependent on the weather. This project is located in Ward Three in the city. Traffic will need to take an alternate route during construction.
