AAA sub-district action on tap this weekend

The Lincoln County Dixie Youth Baseball AAA All-Star teams begin playoff action Friday in the sub-district six double-elimination tournament on Copiah Academy softball field in Gallman.
The 9- and 10-year-old National and American All-Stars begin their march toward the state tournament in Mendenhall July 18.
The sub-district tournament will have the Lincoln County American and Nationals, the Franklin County All-Stars, the Natchez All-Stars and the Copiah County All-Stars fighting hard to claim the No. 1 spot to advance to the District Tournament best-of-three series and an automatic spot in the State Tournament
The Lincoln County Americans kick off the tournament in the opener against the Natchez All-Stars at 6 p.m. and the Lincoln County Nationals battle the Franklin County All-Stars in the nightcap at 8 p.m.

Lincoln County AAA Americans: Will Mayfield, Riley Easterling, Piker Wallace, Eli Smith, John Rivers Brown, Lawson Chemin, Jake Meilstrup, Chase White, Jackson Cater, Jacob Rushing, Gryson Childress, Trenton Tarver. Assistant coaches: Blake Wallace, Jimmy White. Head coach: Shane Easterling.
Lincoln County AAA Nationals: Colby Merritt, Corey Case, Brady Ratcliff, Will Loy, Jansen Miller, Fielder Sartin, Landon Burgess, Conner Hall, Brandon Welch, Jacob Clark, Dawson Hester, Ashtin Autenberry. Assistant coaches: Cory Welch, Tim Ratcliff. Head coach: Jeremy Loy.
