Brookhaven Ballet to present ‘A Thousand Hallelujahs,’ ‘The Cinderella Ballet’ at Copiah-Lincoln Rea Auditorium

Brookhaven Ballet members will have two performances Friday, May 2, at the Copiah-Lincoln Rea Auditorium, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Taught by Kathy Swalm, the dancers will present “A Thousand Hallelujahs” and “The Cinderella Ballet.”
Pre-Ballet will dance to “How Can I Keep from Singing,” by Cedarmont Kids, and perform as mice in “Cinderella.” They are Livvie Kitchens, Enora Deal-Johnson and Ivy Lewis.
Ballet I will dance to “This is Amazing Grace,” by Bethel Kids, and are the “Princesses of the Palace” in “Cinderella.” They are Makenna Christensen, Revayah Lewis, Emma Hay, Ariya Deal- Johnson, Ava Hay and Wren Gibson.
Ballet II will praise God with “A Thousand Hallelujahs” by Brooke Ligertwood, and be “Dancers at the Ball” in “Cinderella.” They are Julie Case, Abbi McTaggart, Jillian Sisk — also appearing as Ball Mistress, Madeline Postma, Judy McTaggart, Charlotte Kilpatrick and Jaiya Jones.
Ballet III dancers will perform praise dance to “Love on the Line” by Hillsong Worship. These are Charlotte Hay, Dania Mendez, Ava Nobile, Maddie Herring, Lucy Nobile, Mary Jane Herring, Lucy Hay, Sally Case, Rachel Case and Marianna Christensen.
Ballet III appears in the following parts in “Cinderella” — Mary Jane Herring, stepsister; Lucy Hay, Winter Fairy; Ava Nobile, stepmother; Charlotte Hay, stepsister; Sally Case, Dance Mistress; Maddie Herring, Cinderella; Rachel Case, Fairy Godmother; Marianna Christensen, Spring Fairy; Lucy Nobile, Summer Fairy; and Dania Mendez, Autumn Fairy.
