Funeral Services for Michael Timothy Byrd will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven, MS, with visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Brother Mike Carr and Bro. Robbie Duncan will be officiating. Burial will follow at Wesson City Cemetery.

Michael Timothy Byrd, age 45, went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2025, at his home in Bentonia, MS.

Timothy was born on June 30, 1979, in Brookhaven, MS. He spent his entire life in Wesson, MS. He graduated from Wesson High School in 1997 and from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in 2000 with a degree in Applied Science.

He was employed by Crawford Electric as an outside salesman. Timothy was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with family and friends.

Timothy loved the Lord and participated in church activities as well as conducting prison ministries. He loved to cook and was a happy person who loved the Lord, life, and his family.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Oren Maxey; and his grandparents, M.T. and Lou Byrd.

He is survived by his parents, Alfred and Vickie Newman, and Michael and Janet Byrd. He is also survived by his brother, Patrick (Ashley) Byrd; and his stepbrothers, Jordan Newman, Cody Strickland (Wendy) and Andrew Strickland (Kimberly), Keith Strickland; stepsister, Christy (Kyle) Kimbrough and his nieces, Braelynn Byrd, Annistyn Byrd, and Amelia Newman; and nephews, Braxton Byrd, Sam Kimbrough, Colton and Jaxon Hancock; and his grandmother, Mattie Maxey.

He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Sid (Debi) Maxey, Shelia (Ed) Fuqua, and Debra Reineke; along with many wonderful cousins and friends that he loved.
