A celebration of life will be held for Doris Lynn Vaughn McBride at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Rosehill Cemetery.

Doris Lynn Vaughn McBride, 84, of Brookhaven, passed away April 15, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County, MS, July 22, 1940, to Leslie Vaughn and Wardell Smith Vaughn.

Ms. McBride was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a member of Brookhaven Moose Family Center. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards. She volunteered for many years at the special Olympics at Camp Shelby.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, M.E. “Bucky” McBride; and two brothers, William R. “Billy” Vaughn and James Timmy Vaughn.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Terry L. Vaughn (Linda); nephews, Justin, Ian, Brennan, Zachary, and Hunter; special friend, Gloria Ratliff (Larry); and a host of many friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Arden Hospice and Silver Cross Nursing Home for their care.
