Brookhaven fugitive murder suspect captured in Georgia

A fugitive wanted in connection with a Brookhaven homicide has been captured.

James Lewis Levi Jr., 30, is alleged to have shot and killed 21-year-old Deleatric Quarles in a March 12 altercation at the Cloverdale Apartments complex. Quarles was pronounced dead at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven.

Levi was located in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, March 27, according to Brookhaven Police Detective Penny Banks. Levi was extradited and transported back to Lincoln County on Monday.
