Brookhaven Police are looking for a man caught on video vandalizing a Tesla sedan in the Walmart parking lot.

On Friday, March 28, cameras in the Tesla captured video of what appeared to be a white male who approached the vehicle with wire cutters in his right hand. He then vandalized the hood and driver’s side of the car with the tool.

“We are asking the public’s assistance and the identity of the subject in this heinous crime,” said Police Chief Kenneth Collins. “It does not matter what your political views are, you have no right messing with people’s personal property. Felony charges will be filed against the individual or individuals involved.”

Anyone with information should contact BPD at 601-833-2424 and speak with Detective Tim Sander regarding the case, the chief said.
