A two-vehicle crash involving a law enforcement car has resulted in serious injuries for one person and death of another.
On Thursday, March 13, at approximately 7:34 p.m., Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M officers responded to a crash in Walthall County on Hwy. 27, according to Sgt. Craig James.
A 2026 Kia Soul, driven by McComb 22-year-old Sara Elizabeth Edmonds, was traveling south on the highway while fleeing Pike County Sheriff’s deputies. The Soul collided with a pursuing deputy’s vehicle, a 2023 Dodge Charger.
