BOGUE CHITTO — Two people were injured in a single vehicle wreck Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred on Bogue Chitto Road a mile from Pricedale Drive. 

Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing said a Ford Escape left the roadway on the right hand side and struck multiple trees. First responders were dispatched to the call at 12:20 p.m. 

“The driver and child were taken to the hospital. The child was then air-lifted. We do not know their conditions,” Rushing said. “We thought there were more passengers at first but it ended up being one child. It is still early and the crash is under investigation.”
