BROOKHAVEN — Lincoln County Supervisors Jerry Wilson, John David Hart, Doug Falvey and Keith Lewis met construction companies for pre-construction meetings for two local bridges this week. Work on the projects will start soon.
Specifically, Beacon Construction will work on the Bethel Road bridge project starting February 17th. The bridge impacts Wilson’s District 1 and Hart’s District 2. It is located between Stillwood Lane and MS-583. Funds for the project in-part will be paid through the Local System Bridge Project.
T.L. Wallace won the bid for work on a bridge on Lott Smith. District 2 Supervisor Keith Lewis said the bridge will be close to traffic beginning March 3. Money for the project will come from the Emergency Road and Bridge Repair fund. The Lott Smith bridge project is located just down the road from Mt. Zion Baptist Church where it crosses the Bayou Pierre.
