Flash flood warning issued

BROOKHAVEN — Rounds of heavy rainfall have caused the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood warning until 9 p.m. . NWS Jackson reports anywhere from two to five inches of rain have fallen in the past 24 hours with one to two more inches of rain in the forecast. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin.
Flash flooding could impact small streams, rivers, urban areas, streets, highways, underpasses, poorly drained areas and low lying areas. Please use caution while driving and remember to turn around, don’t drown.
Trees have also been reported down on roadways across Lincoln County.
Lincoln County is under a tornado watch until 10 p.m.
