Now that the Super Bowl win for the Philadelphia Eagles is in the rearview, the New Orleans Saints have pulled the trigger on the next head coach for the franchise.

On Tuesday, the Saints finalized a contract with Kellen Moore, who served as offensive coordinator for the Super Bowl winning Eagles. Moore, a standout quarterback during his college career at Boise State, had previously called the offense for the Cowboys and Chargers earlier in his career.

Moore replaces Dennis Allen, who went 18-25 as the head coach in New Orleans. Allen was fired during the season after a 2-7 start for the Saints and he was replaced by special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi, who went 3-5 as interim coach.
