JACKSON — A bill which would require appropriate signage for the Berean Children’s Home in Lincoln County passed in the Mississippi State Senate Thursday afternoon. Lincoln County Sen. Jason Barrett is the author of the bill.

According to SB2010, the bill would require signage for the Berean Children’s Home to be placed approaching the intersection of US84 and MS583. The Mississippi Department of Transportation would have to erect and maintain the signs under Barrett’s bill.

The home, which serves to provide children a loving home, is located south of Bethel Road on MS583. Berean’s opened in Lincoln County in 2011 with the capacity to serve 16 children. The ministry helps adolescents who are in need of care.
