BROOKHAVEN — Lincoln County Supervisors voted to award a bid for bridge replacement work on Bethel and Lott Smith Roads Monday morning. The projects will be in part funded through the Emergency Road and Bridge Repair Fund and the Local System Bridge Program.  

A contract for Bethel Road was awarded to Beacon Construction for $1,091,191.30 by a 4-0 vote. Bethel Road will be paid for in part by using LSBP funds. 

A contract for Lott Smith Road was awarded to T.L. Wallace for $1,114,978.61. The bridge in particular crosses the Bayou Pierre down the hill from Mt. Zion Baptist Church. 

Lincoln County Engineer Ryan Holmes said the projects will likely start this spring and be finished by the fall.
