WEST LINCOLN — Firefighters were able to rescue a special pet from a Christmas Eve trailer fire last night. The blaze was on London Drive sadly claimed the structure and belongings.

Zetus, Hog Chain and Bogue Chitto Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the call after 9 pm Christmas Eve. Firefighters worked to rescue a Komodo Dragon from the residence while combating the fire.

Zetus Chief Dale Anding said the trailer was a total loss.

Earlier in the day Heucks Retreat and New Sight responded to a call of an oven on fire. Baking soda took care of the fire before it got out of control.
