BOGUE CHITTO — A one vehicle car accident injured one according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. The crash occurred in Bogue Chitto Wednesday night.

Hog Chain and Bogue Chitto Volunteer Fire Departments along with MHP and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the call at 5:38 p.m.

According to MHP, the crash occurred on US51 south around Catalpa Trail.

Rollover crash injures one

A driver was injured Wednesday afternoon after their vehicle overturned on California Road NW in Lincoln County. The wreck occurred around 12:35 p.m. in the Loyd Star community.

Brookhaven Fire Department was dispatched to the wreck with reports of entrapment. On scene, Brookhaven firefighters extricated the victim from the vehicle with help from Lincoln County Sheriff Deputies.

The female victim was taken to Kings Daughters Medical Center by ambulance. Her condition is unknown at this time. A deputy worked to console one of the victim’s relatives at the scene.
