Patchy dense fog could be a hazard Tuesday

BROOKHAVEN — The National Weather Service reports there is a chance of patchy dense fog to develop from I-20 south to the state line. Lincoln County is in this forecasted area.
The patchy fog could lower visibility to between 1/4 and 1/2 of a mile. In areas of dense fog, drivers should slow down and use low beam headlights. The fog could settle in the area between midnight and 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Spring like conditions are in the forecast for this afternoon into Tuesday. There remains a 20 percent chance of showers this afternoon and into the night. Cloudy conditions will continue Tuesday morning while becoming gradually sunny. Wind speeds will be around 5 mph out of the south with a high of 74 degrees.
Tuesday’s low will drop to 56 degrees before warming back up to 72 Wednesday. NWS Jackson forecasts a 30 percent chance of showers Wednesday afternoon.
Hunters might rejoice over a forecasted north wind late Wednesday night through Friday. With the north wind, temperatures will drop to highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
