Grace Foam Solutions, LLC (GFS), a local spray foam distribution company, celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to announce its future.

The event, held at their facility at 2134 US Hwy. 51 in downtown Wesson, brought together about 75 people, including state representatives, the town’s mayor, aldermen, local business owners, and residents. The Wesson Chamber of Commerce and the Copiah County Economic Development District also showed their support.

“This is an exciting day for our company and our community,” said co-owner Dr. Stephanie Duguid. “At GFS, we believe in faith, family, foam — and supporting each other locally and focused on economic progress.” Duguid is one of four owners and also serves as the company’s chief strategic officer.

Jessica Breazeale, another of the four owners, gave a short presentation thanking the community for the tremendous amount of support.

“Grace Foam Solutions is an important part of Wesson’s past and future. Our building has been affectionately known as the ‘old Sunflower grocery store’ but most recently it was a haunted house,” said Breazeale, also serving as the company’s chief marketing officer. “The décor was creepy and fun but has been since painted over.”

The building has been completely renovated inside and out, including a full face-lift.

To add some holiday cheer, the event included a fun Christmas-themed giveaway. Guests picked ornaments from a Christmas tree, and each ornament revealed a prize. All the prizes were donated by businesses in and around the Wesson area. This activity promoted shopping local, reminding everyone that they can find great gifts and products without leaving town or shopping online.

“You don’t have to go to Jackson or order online to find what you need,” Breazeale said. “We have so many amazing businesses right here in Wesson. Shopping local means you’re supporting your friends and neighbors.”

Duguid spoke about the company’s plans of becoming a licensing and credentialing site, a sure way for the area to see more growth in business and industry.

Ricky Breazeale, company visionary and one of the four owners, spoke on his experience in the spray foam industry and the reasons he decided to open up his own business.

“I’ve been in the industry for 14 years and I value true partnerships with my customers, which is something corporate companies can’t quite offer. To them, you’re just another number. But to me, my customers are my business partners,” said Ricky.

After the speeches, Wesson’s chamber president Teri Bath led the ribbon cutting ceremony to officially mark the start of GFS new permanent location. Chamber members hopped in the photo in much anticipation.

Guests were invited to enjoy a catered lunch, talk with local business owners, and learn more about the company’s plans to serve the community with both spray foam products and installation services.

GFS hired Brandon Burch of Wesson to lead as logistics manager. Burch previously worked off-shore and not only is happy to be home but is a great addition to the team.

The company’s expansion is also good news for the local economy. GFS plans to hire more workers in the future and provide services for homes, businesses, and industrial buildings in Wesson and surrounding areas.

“We enjoyed having business and industry folk come here to celebrate with us and to see what GFS is all about,” said Brent Duguid, owner and chief operations officer. “Adding installation services means we can help even more people. We’re excited to grow our business and give back to the community that has supported us. “

The grand opening was a great way to celebrate both the company’s success and the spirit of Christmas. Immediately following the event, GFS had its first float in the Wesson Christmas Parade which was staged in the GFS parking lot.

WJTV’s Blake Levine came to GFS property to film his Live at 9 segment. The show aired on Tuesday, December 10.

GFS is ready to make an even bigger difference in Wesson by helping customers save energy with spray foam and by encouraging everyone to shop local this holiday season.
