LOYD STAR — No one was injured when a mobile home caught fire on Oilfield Lane NW early Wednesday morning. Chronologically, it is the third of four structure fires in the past three days in Lincoln County.

Loyd Star Fire Department responded to the fire and was first on scene minutes after the call a short time after 3 a.m. The home was already fully engulfed in an inferno. Zetus, New Sight and Heucks Retreat Volunteer Fire Departments provided mutual aid for Loyd Star.

The damage to the home was extensive and it appeared to be a total loss. It is unknown what the cause of the fire was at this time. Units cleared the scene around 5:20 a.m.
