Local establishments ace health inspections

BROOKHAVEN — Nine local establishments aced recent health inspections according to the Mississippi Department of Health. Inspections are published in an online database on the Department of Health’s website.
Haven Hall, located at 101 Mill St., earned an “A” rating. The nursing home has earned 17-straight “A” ratings from the Mississippi Department of Health.
West Lincoln School earned an “A” rating for the school’s cafeteria. It is the 19th-straight “A” rating earned by West Lincoln.
Broma’s, located at 1203 Hampton Drive, earned an “A” rating for the 16th-straight time.
Chisom’s Diner, 1389 Union St. Ext., earned an “A” rating for the 17th-straight time.
Smitty’s Place, 452 ½ Rogers St., earned an “A” rating for the fifth-straight time and 14th time since 2016. A “B” rating in 2o21 snapped the “A” streak.
The Shack at 550, 933 MS-550, earned an “A” rating for the third-straight time and seventh time since 2020. A “B” rating in 2023 snapped the “A” rating streak.
Friends Kitchen, 505 West Monticello Street, earned “B” ratings for the restaurant and bar. It is the fifth-straight “B” rating for the restaurant. Two issues were corrected on site in categories for toxic substance properly identified, stored or used and food contact surface cleaned or sanitized.
Comin’ In Hot BBQ and More earned an “A” rating. The food truck is listed as having a 305 Railroad Street address. It is their third-straight “A” rating.
Sipps, located at 333 West Cherokee St., earned an “A” rating for the second-straight time since opening last year.
Addisons LLC, a food truck whose address is reported as 315 Noble Drive, earned an “A” rating for the second-straight time.
