The Lincoln County Forestry Association recently received several awards at Mississippi Forestry Association’s 2024 annual meeting. CFA President Brett Rushing received the 2024 Outstanding Young CFA Leader Award, and the entire CFA received the 2024 Outstanding CFA Award.

Prior to serving as CFA president, Rushing also served as a director and vice president. He has participated on the Logger of the Year, Scholarship, and Wood Magic Committees for Lincoln CFA and has played an instrumental role with all field days, banquets, and CFA events since becoming a CFA officer.

Rushing was described by MFA as very knowledgeable about forestry and a champion for the industry wherever he goes. He gives freely of his time to support the Lincoln CFA and readily supports his family, church, community, MFA, and friends.
