Katie Brown Boyd, age 98, of Odessa, Texas passed away on October 17, 2024. She was born in Bogue Chitto, MS on August 31, 1926 to Pence Wilson Brown and Ola Mae Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Douglas George Boyd; son Richard Wilson Boyd; brothers, Hilton W. Brown, Hansel Brown and Hulon Perry Brown; sisters, Ethel Margaret Brown, Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” Brown Reid Smith, June Brown Wallace Ballard, and Ella Rose Brown Jordan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Douglas George “Doug” Boyd, Jr. (Kitt) and Pamela Kaye Boyd Luck (Robert); brother, Robert Wesley Brown (Marilyn); sister, Charlotte Brown Matthews; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be on Thursday, November 7, at Odessa Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas.
