The October meeting of the Climbers Club was held in the lovely home of Mrs. Cecil Estess. Charlsie Estess, author of “When the Ocean Roars,” spoke to the club about her journey as a writer. The local author discussed the creative process involved in writing a book and the challenges a first-time author faces having a book accepted by a publishing house. The ladies enjoyed fall delicacies and spiced tea while surrounded by beautiful fall decor. New members Mrs. Mac Baker, Mrs. Clint Gardner and Ms. Carla Snider were welcomed into the club. Mrs. James McKennon, Mrs. Brooks Warren, Mrs. Pete Corkern and Mrs. Dudley Lampton assisted Mrs. Cecil Estess as hostesses.
