The Mississippi Department of Transportation has announced the temporary closure of both directions of traffic on MS Hwy. 587 in Lawrence County Monday, Oct. 21, to Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

The section of highway between Bethel Road and Divide Road will be completely closed during these hours for road maintenance.

Drivers are advised to plan for alternate routes.
