BROOKHAVEN — Bob Knight, Lincoln County Litter and Solid Waste Control Coordinator, is asking anyone with information about someone dumping waste illegally on McCoy Lane to come forward. A deer box stand, tire, gas canister and other rubbish was dumped in a County ditch Monday afternoon. 

Knight said the suspect is believed to have visited the transfer station but due to the transition from Green Meadows to Waste Management, no camera footage is available to identify the perpetrator. Knight added the man is reported to have several gold teeth. 

Illegal dumping is fairly common in Lincoln County. Knight can show hundreds of pictures of rubbish pulled out of creeks and ditches across the county. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Litter Control or the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

Lincoln County’s litter ordinance was passed in 1999.
