NEW SIGHT — One person was injured in a three vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon. First responders were dispatched to the intersection of US51 and Old St. John Road for a motor vehicle accident at 1:07 p.m.

Kings Daughters Medical Center, Brookhaven Fire Department, Lincoln County Sheriff Office, Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency, Mississippi Highway Patrol and New Sight Volunteer Fire Department responded to the wreck. On scene, two vehicles remained in the south bound lane on US51 while a third vehicle was drivable and parked on Old St. John Road east of US51.

One occupant of a silver Nissan was loaded into KDMC’s ambulance and taken to the hospital. The subject’s injuries are unknown at this time. Units began clearing the scene around 1:40 p.m. when wreckers arrived to haul away the wrecked vehicles.
