County Health Departments reopen after Hurricane Francine

After Hurricane Francine moved inland and left behind relatively little damage in the area, the Mississippi State Department of Health is reopening several county departments on Thursday.

The Lincoln, Lawrence, Franklin, Amite, Jefferson, Adams and Wilkinson County departments will open at noon. Pike and Walthall departments will remain closed Thursday.

In other parts of the state, Harrison and Stone County Health Departments will remain closed; departments in Hancock, Jackson, Pearl River, Marion, Lamar, Jefferson Davis, and Covington counties will open at noon; and the departments in George and Forrest counties opened at 8 a.m.

All other MSDH offices and clinics will operate on normal schedules.
