Brookhaven Police investigating Wednesday shooting

BROOKHAVEN — One man was injured in a shooting Wednesday as then Hurricane Francine made its way towards landfall. The shooting is under investigation by the Brookhaven Police Department. 

According to call records, a shots fired call was received by E-911 dispatch at 3:18 p.m. The incident occurred at the Lincoln Apartments on Old Wesson Road near Crooked Lane. The victim was shot in the arm and released from King Daughters Medical Center. 

Brookhaven Police Detective Jonathan Hart said suspects opened fire on the victim as he was driving in his vehicle. Hart said the suspects have not been identified at this time but are described as two black males wearing black hoodies.
