The qualifying deadline for all candidates in the 2024 November election is Friday, Sept. 6, 5 p.m.

All political party nominees and independent candidates for the office of President of the United States, as well as Mississippi City or County School Boards and Trustees must abide by this deadline.

Candidates can access the Secretary of State’s official 2024 Candidate Qualifying Guide at www.sos.ms.gov, which provides essential information. Candidates should be familiar with the legal qualifications to seek and hold office, as well as qualifying procedures.
