Brookhaven Police seeking information on suspect trying to break into cars

BROOKHAVEN — Police Commander Jonathan Hart said the Brookhaven Police Department has been made aware of a subject trying to break into cars in a local neighborhood. Residents with information are asked to come forward.
Hart said the man tried breaking into cars in the Vernondale Neighborhood around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning. The Vernondale community encompasses the area between Margaret Street to the south, I-51 to the west, Natchez Avenue to the north and Perkins Drive/Kraner Lane to the east.
“The subject appears to be a white male. An investigation has been launched and we are currently working on identifying the male subject,” Hart said. “If anyone has any information, can help identify the male or have video of the subject on your property please contact the Brookhaven Police Department at 601-833-2424.”
