Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) issued a statement of congratulations to Brookhaven’s Bryce Smith and 15 other students who are enrolling in a United States Service Academy this fall.

“These fine students represent the future of our military,” Wicker said. “The appointments are a testament to the students’ prior and future commitment to their communities and fellow neighbors. I thank them for serving our country and representing the great state of Mississippi.”

Wicker nominated the following 16 students, who join others nominated by the rest of Mississippi’s congressional delegation.
