DIRECTV says door-to-door salesman in the area is not affiliated with the company.
In Lincoln and Copiah counties in recent weeks, one or more individuals have knocked on doors saying they are third-party salesmen for DIRECTV.
This week, a spokesperson for DIRECTV issued the following response to a consumer inquiry on the issue: “This individual is not affiliated with DIRECTV. Additionally, all door-to-door agents wear a photo ID badge identifying them as a DIRECTV employee or a solutions provider.”
Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing said recently that the men have been just going door-to-door and have not committed any crimes. Residents do not have to let them into their homes, and can call the sheriff’s department with any concerns.
