14-year-old sought in deadly shooting

BROOKHAVEN — Police Officers with Brookhaven Police Department released additional details about a deadly shooting in Brookhaven Saturday night. One man was killed with multiple gunshot wounds.
KDMC was initially dispatched to the scene.
A call of shots fired came in around 8:05 p.m. Saturday at the apartments at 209 Pennington St. The incident was close to where Pennington intersects with Furr Avenue.
Lincoln County Coroner Blake Wallace confirmed the shooting was fatal following an altercation.
Police Chief Kenny Collins said William Young, 23, was shot and killed by a subject who was 14-to-15 years old. Brookhaven Police Department is working to bring the juvenile into custody.
“My heart goes out to his family and the 14-year-old’s family,” Collins said.
Wallace said Young’s family was notified Saturday night. The shooting remains under investigation.
