Food business picking up

LOYD STAR — Food business is continuing to churn in Lincoln County this week.
A new snow cone stand and deli will open in Lincoln County. The Mississippi Department of Health reported two new construction permits on MS-550 near Loyd Star Attendance Center.
According to the health inspections, the snow cone stand will be called Tita’s Snowballs and will be at 1811 MS-550. It was given an “A” rating and classified as new construction.
At the same address, Tita’s Deli will open and was given an “A” rating and classified as new construction. Backwoods 550 Nutrition and Backwoods 550 were previously open at the location and closed this year.
MSDH reports Grizzly Diner, located at the former Fatheads restaurant on West Lincoln Drive, earned an “A” rating. It is also classified as new construction. It will open at 990 West Lincoln Drive Southwest. Fatheads closed and downsized to a food truck.
Addisons LLC, a new food truck, earned an “A” rating from the MSDH on June 7. Chef Nathan Addison will run the business out of a mobile commercial kitchen with plans to open a brick and mortar restaurant one day.
