What’s better than a single farmers market on Friday? Two farmers markets on Friday!

What’s even better than two markets? A free concert in the same place at the same time!

This week, the Brookhaven Farmers Market will be open at its regular Friday time from 8 a.m. until noon at Railroad Park, downtown.

The market will open again at 6:30 p.m. in the same location, in conjunction with the second part of the Brookhaven Chamber’s free Summer Concert Series. Taking the Railroad Park Stage from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. will be local favorite The Bridge Band. Composed of Tyler Bridge, Nick Bridge, Shelley Smith, Ron Donegan and Scott Shaw, the band performs hits from the 1960s through the 1980s.

Join the concert crowd with lawn chairs or blankets, sing along with classic rock standards, and boogie amongst the vegetable vendors on a warm summer night.
