BROOKHAVEN — The Mississippi Lottery Corporation announced several area winners this week. In total, five lottery players won a combined $6,253. One of those winners hailed from Bogue Chitto.

On May 28, a Crystal Springs Man won $800 on a Match 5 ticket. The ticket was purchased from Brando’s Discount Tobacco and Beverages in Crystal Springs. That same day, a woman from Magnolia won $703 on a Cash 4 ticket. Her first name is Gwen according to the winner’s check. She bought the ticket from the Percy Quin One Stop in McComb.

On May 29, a Union Church man won $2,500 on a Cash 4 ticket. Mississippi Lottery Corporation reports the ticket was bought at Sweet Pea’s 76 in Hazlehurst. A Bogue Chitto woman won $1,250 from a Cash Pop ticket purchased from Brookhaven’s A One Stop #11.

Mississippi Lottery Corporation announced on the same day that a New Hebron woman turned around a nice profit. She won $1,000 on a $20 scratch-off ticket bought from New Hebron Quick Stop in New Hebron.
