Patricia “Pat” Ann Mullins, age 81, peacefully passed away on May 28, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 2, 1942, in Natchez, MS, to Carl and Rosalie Calhoun, Pat led a life filled with love, faith, and dedication.

Pat was a proud graduate of Natchez High School, Copiah-Lincoln Community College, and The University of Southern Mississippi. At Co-Lin, she shone brightly as a member of the Copiah-Lincoln Collette Dance Team, was honored as Miss Co-Lin, and, most importantly, met the love of her life, Eddie Glen Mullins. They married on October 12, 1963, and recently celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage.

A devoted member of New Prospect Baptist Church, Pat was known for her unwavering faith and dedication. She taught Sunday school and volunteered for Vacation Bible School, always eager to share the gospel of Jesus. Her deep love for the Lord was evident to all who met her, embodying the virtues of a Proverbs 31 woman.

Pat’s impact on her community was profound. As a beloved history teacher, she inspired countless students during her 18 years at Adams County Christian School and 24 years at Brookhaven Academy. Many of her students fondly remember her as their favorite teacher, often expressing, “We just love Mrs. Mullins.”

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, sister Yvonne “Boney” Parker, and great-granddaughter Harper Dean Cupit.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished by her husband Glen, daughters Terri Michelle Cupit (and husband Mike), and Lisa Marie Lea (and husband Jeff), grandchildren Brandon Michael Cupit (and wife Kim), Britney Hailey Ashworth (and husband Zac), Zachary Dean Cupit, Jordan Lamar Lea (and wife Becky), Jarrett Layton Lea, and Jaden Levi Lea, as well as great-grandchildren David Wayne Lea, Michaela Leeann Ashworth, Hadley Raye Cupit, and Benjamin Glen Ashworth.

The family kindly requests your prayers during this time of grief as they remember and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose love and faith touched so many.
