ZETUS — Volunteer Firefighters with Zetus Volunteer Fire Department continue to keep a smoldering fire contained to a structure in the 900 block of Denton Trail Sunday morning. The initial fire call came Saturday afternoon as a two-story structure full of t-shirts and hoodies burned.
Firemen from several volunteer fire departments including Heucks Retreat, New Sight and Loyd Star worked to contain the fire to the structure as a home was nearby. Stacks of clothes smoldered Saturday and occasionally the fire would start burning again. Zetus VFD have responded several times to keep the fire suppressed and continued to do so Sunday morning.
No one was hurt in the fire.
Call the Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency Office at 601-833-8561 or your local volunteer fire department to learn how you can volunteer. Departments need help driving trucks, pumping water in addition to fighting fires.
