BROOKHAVEN — Police officers are working a two vehicle wreck at the intersection of East Court Street and North First Street Friday afternoon. The call came in at about 12:15 pm.

The roadway is open at this time. A gold GMC SUV and a Chevy SUV were involved in the accident. One vehicle left the roadway.

KDMC is on scene and is giving medical attention to a male involved in the wreck. The man was taken by KDMC to the hospital.

In 2023, a wreck occurred at East Court Street and North First Street. Bystanders commented then about the need for a four-way stop at the intersection partly due to a row of trees on the left of East Court street and along the west sidewalk of North First Street.
