MBI investigating murder on Greyhound bus

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating a homicide that took place on a Greyhound bus on Interstate 10 in Jackson County Sunday.
At approximately 11 p.m. March 24, a Greyhound bus was traveling eastbound through Mississippi on I-10 near mile markers 57-61 in Jackson County, when 26-year-old Rashad Price, of Slidell, Louisiana, fatally shot 25-year-old Jay Jackson of Decatur, Georgia. Price then demanded the driver stop the bus so he could exit.
The driver then drove to the nearest exit and called 911. No other passengers were injured during the incident.
At approximately 3 a.m. Monday, March 25, Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies observed Price running across the interstate. He was taken into custody without further incident, and is being charged with homicide.
MBI is currently investigating this incident and gathering evidence. Upon completing the investigation, agents will share their findings with the local District Attorney’s office. Due to this being an open investigation, no further comment will be made by MBI.
