MCCOMB — Percy Quin State Park will receive $8,750 from the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund to build an ADA accessible Kayak and Boat launch. A list of 33 projects receiving $14.5 million in funding was announced Friday. 

The funds from the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund will provide materials for the MDWFP to construct a floating launch facility specifically designed for safe and efficient launching of kayaks and other non-motorized boats. The launch will be designed to specifications for users with disabilities. 

Percy Quin has undergone renovations in the past two years to improve the state park. Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks will host their March Commission meeting at the state park on March 21.
