Krewe of Ceres introduces 2024 maids

The Krewe of Ceres in Brookhaven will conduct its 57th annual Charity Ball on Saturday, Feb. 24, at The Lincoln Civic Center. Presentations begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling 601-757-2967.
This year’s maids are Anna Caroline Adams, Anna Cate Hall, Amy Rebekah Melissa Mabile, Mallory Melissa Nations, Anna Elise Rounsaville, Annie Elizabeth Sheppard, Ellie Christine Slay, Olivia Sullivan, Anne Brantley Warren, and Merritt Rowland Wolfe.
Anna Caroline Adams is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lance Adams, and the late Lana West Adams. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon West and the late Diane Smith West and the late Charles Adams and Bessie Watts Adams and Mrs. Dorothy Ginn and the late Rev. Bendon Ginn.
Anna Caroline is a 2022 Honors graduate of Brookhaven Academy . She maintained a 4.0 grade point average, was a member of the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, FCA, Teenage Republicans, and a Mississippi Scholar. She was a member of Junior Auxiliary Crown Club and a Junior Ambassador. Anna Caroline was valedictorian and chosen as Homecoming Queen her senior year.
Anna Caroline is a sophomore at the University of Southern Mississippi and is majoring in speech pathology. She is on the President’s List with a 4.0 gpa. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and serves as vice president. She currently volunteers with Prevent Child Abuse America and Girl Scouts of America. She’s a member of the National Speech Language Hearing Association, Student Eagle Club and Student Alumni Association.
She’s a member of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven.
Anna Cate Hall is the daughter of Wendy Hall and Todd Hall. She is the granddaughter of Wendell and Judine Redd.
Anna Cate is a 2022 High Honors Graduate from Brookhaven Academy. She was a Mississippi Scholar, National Honors Society Student, Mu Alpha Theta, and a member of the Science National Honor Society. Anna Cate represented Brookhaven Academy at the HOBY Leadership Forum. She was a member of the Junior Auxillary Crown Club, Junior Ambassadors, and volunteered numerous hours as a mentor in the community. Anna Cate served as a captain of the cheer team as a varsity cheerleader for four years. She was chosen as An All-American Cheerleader and received the Pin it Forward Award. Anna Cate was awarded by her peers her Senior year as a senior homecoming maid, most school spirit, class favorite and Miss Brookhaven Academy.
Anna Cate is a sophomore at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She is a cheerleader for the Wolfpack. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Science Club, and is on the President’s Scholars list each semester. She is planning to further her Education in the field of Pharmacy, and has been accepted to the Pharmacy School at William Carey University.

Amy Rebekah Melissa Mabile is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Mabile. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Morris Mabile, the late Mrs. Anaise Mabile, Mrs. Bonnie Burns, and the late Mr. Robert G. Burns.
Amy is a 2022 highest honors graduate of Brookhaven High School, where she was inducted into the Academic Hall of Fame, National Honor Society, Mississippi Scholars, and Mississippi Tech Scholars. While serving as a Co-President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, she was an active participant in Band, Cross Country, Soccer, and Track. She was also elected Who’s Who Most Courteous.
Amy is a sophomore at Southwest Mississippi Community College, where she was a captain in the band. Transferring to The University of Southern Mississippi, Amy is pursuing a major in Biological Sciences with a minor in Disability Studies. She is the President of the Bear Tracker Recruitment Team, Phi Theta Kappa VP of Service, Student Government Association treasurer, and a member of Tri-Beta. She is on the National Center of Learning Disabilities Young Adult Leadership Council and is a Joseph James Morelli Legacy Foundation Scholar and Mentor. She currently serves as the Lincoln County Miss Hospitality.
Amy is a member of Jackson Street Church.
Mallory Melissa Nations is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lance Adams, and the late Donn E. Nations. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dorothy Ginn and the late Rev. Bendon Ginn and Mr. Donn Nations and the late Beverly Nations and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Adams.
Mallory is a 2022 Honors graduate of Brookhaven Academy . She maintained a 4.0 grade point average, was a member of the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, FCA, Teenage Republicans, and a Mississippi Scholar. She was a member of Junior Auxiliary Crown Club and a Junior Ambassador. Mallory also received a Community Service Award for volunteering over 100 hours to projects in our community.
Mallory is a sophomore at the University of Southern Mississippi and is majoring in nursing. She is on the President’s List with a 4.0 gpa. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and serves as the director of Philanthropy and Community Service. She currently volunteers with Prevent Child Abuse America and Girl Scouts of America. She is a member of the Student Eagle Club and Student Alumni Association.

Ann Elise Rounsaville is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Rounsaville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rounsaville and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Feduccia Jr.
Ann Elise is a 2022 Special Honors graduate of Brookhaven Academy. She maintained a 4.0 grade point average and was a member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and a Mississippi Scholar. Ann Elise played on the high school soccer team for six years. She was a member of the science club, History club, FCA, Junior Ambassador, and the Junior Auxiliary Crown Club. Ann Elise’s high school awards include Best Christian Character, Most Courteous, and MAIS All Division for soccer. She was a recipient of the Jansen Wright Memorial Scholarship.
Ann Elise is a sophomore at Mississippi College majoring in Pre-Physical Therapy and minoring in Business Administration. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, PT/OT Club, Nenamoosha Social Tribe and has been on the President’s List each semester. Ann Elise plans to attend Physical Therapy school after graduating from Mississippi College.
Ann Elise’s brother, Carson Rounsaville, and her parents have also served on the court in the past. She is an active member of First Baptist Church, Brookhaven.
Annie Elizabeth Sheppard is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Douglas Sheppard. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Lee Sheppard and Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Gavin and the late Mr. Wendell Bartlett Gavin.
Annie is a 2022 graduate of Brookhaven High School where she was included in the A and B Honor Roll, on the Lady Panther Soccer team for four years, a Diamond Girl, Red Nation Leader, and participated in the Homecoming Production. She was a member of the Junior Auxiliary Crown Club and a Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Junior Ambassador.
Annie was awarded Most School Spirit. She received a Co-Lin Foundation Scholarship and the Farm Bureau Memorial Scholarship.
Annie is a sophomore at Copiah Lincoln Community College majoring in Speech-Language Pathology and minoring in Dyslexic Therapy. At Co-Lin, she is the Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for the Eta Omega Chapter, a Trailblazer, and on the Baptist Student Union Lead Team over worship and outreach. She was also selected for Who’s Who at Co-Lin. She plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi in the fall of 2024.
She is a member of Grace Life Church of Brookhaven.
Ellie Christine Slay is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Slay. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Perkins, Mr. and Mrs. Barlow Slay, and the late JoAnn Slay. Her mother, Holly Perkins Slay, served as a maid in 1995.
Ellie is a 2022 highest honors graduate of Brookhaven High School, where she was included in All A Honor Roll, National Honor Society, and Mississippi Scholars. She received the Mississippi College Presidential Scholarship with Distinction upon graduation.
Ellie ran varsity track and cross country with the BHS teams. While serving as track and field team captain, she held the school record in the 3200m, earning multiple State wins in her events. She is in the Cross Country Hall of Fame.
She was a member of the JA Crown Club and Chamber Junior Ambassador. She led small groups and chaperoned youth trips with her church, and was a volunteer at KDMC.
Ellie is a sophomore at Mississippi College, majoring in Biology. She is a member of Tri-Beta Biology Honors Society and a student member of the American Chemical Society. She is a Jackson Free Clinic Ambassador and a MC student recruiter. She is a member of Laguna Social Tribe, where she holds the alumni coordinator officer position.
She is a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Brookhaven, and attends Redeemer Presbyterian Church during the school year.
Olivia Sullivan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lavelle Sullivan and Laurie Sullivan. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jeanette Sullivan and the late Mr. Stanley Sullivan and Mrs. Bobbie Sue Tedford and the late Mr. Rodney Tedford.
Olivia is a 2022 graduate of Brookhaven Academy. Olivia was a member of the varsity tennis and soccer teams and was a varsity cheerleader. She was a member of Teenage Young Republicans, History Club, and Positive Choices Club. Olivia was a member of the Junior Auxiliary Crown Club.
Olivia is a sophomore at Copiah Lincoln Community College majoring in Secondary Education. She is an active member of Baptist Student Union and has served as manager of the Lady Wolves softball team.
Olivia plans to further her education this fall at Mississippi State University.
Olivia served as trainbearer in 2015; sister, Katie, was a trainbearer in 2011 and a maid in 2020; brother, August, was a trainbearer in 2014 and an escort in 2023. Olivia is a member of First United Methodist Church.
Anne Brantley Warren is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Beck Warren. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Fisher, the late Donna Fisher, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Warren. Her sister Madison served as a maid in 2016, and her brother Fisher served as an escort in 2019. Her Grandfather, Kenneth Warren, was king in 2011.
Anne Brantley is a 2022 graduate of Brookhaven Academy. She received Highest Honors, was a member of National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Mississippi Scholars, played basketball, and she was active in FCA, the chess club, and the ACT 25+ club.
Anne Brantley is a sophomore cheerleader at Copiah Lincoln Community College. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the Dean’s List, and BSU. Her major is Business Administration with a minor in Retail Merchandising and she plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi in the fall.
Anne Brantley is an active member of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven where she is a member of the worship choir and volunteers with Operation Christmas Child. She’s also active with missions locally at Brookhaven Outreach and internationally at Casa de Fe in Shell, Ecuador.
Merritt Rowland Wolfe is the daughter of Reverend and Mrs. Nicholas Jay Wolfe. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Joseph Wolfe and Mr. and Mrs. James Ray Rowland, Jr.
Merritt is a 2022 Honors graduate of Brookhaven High School. She was included in the AB Honor Roll, Mississippi Scholars, and National Honor Society. She also ran varsity cross country and track. She was a member of the Junior Auxiliary Crown Club and Les Belles De L’ Hospitalite. Merritt coordinated the Matthew’s Closet project, participated in Mock Trial, served as FCA Co-President, mentored for Spread Your Wings, and was a member of the student council and the Archaeology Club.
Merritt’s high school awards include Most Likely to Succeed, the Panther Award for Cross Country, BHS Teacher’s Choice, and Lion’s Club Student of the Month. Upon graduation, she received the Panzica Scholarship, the UM Jones Scholarship, the 1848 scholarship, and the Chancellor’s Leadership Scholarship.
Merritt is a sophomore at the University of Mississippi, majoring in Psychology on the pre-nursing track. She is a Provost Scholar, a Chancellor’s Leadership Student Leader, and an Ole Miss Women’s Choir member. She is a Worship Intern at First Baptist Oxford and volunteers for the Grove Grocery food pantry and the Oxford Animal Rescue Center.
