BROOKHAVEN — Lincoln County residents can celebrate a ribbon cutting today. Sipps, a locally owned custom soda shop, will host a ribbon cutting Wednesday afternoon to officially celebrate the start of the business.
In July, Sipps confirmed they were opening a custom soda shop in the former Mary’s Barbershop on 333 West Cherokee Street. The shop officially opened in November after a few soft openings around Halloween.
Sadly, the shop will miss one of the original four co-owners at the ribbon cutting Wednesday. Co-owner Michael Falvey died in August a few weeks before he had hoped for the shop to be open and operational. Other co-owners are Adam Smith, Pam Smith and Brandee Falvey.
Sipps will close for business at 3:30 p.m. for the ribbon cutting which starts at 4p.m. today.
