BROOKHAVEN — Building progress can be seen on Brookway Boulevard. Starbucks is starting to take shape while TJ Maax and Five Below move closer to opening.
Brookhaven Building Inspector David Fearn said the TJ Maxx will have its final building inspection tomorrow. Five Below is still working on renovations and is not ready for a final building inspection.
TJ Maxx could open at some point over the next week after their inspection. Fearn said he is not sure when they would open for sure.
Starbucks was working on the exterior of their Brookhaven location in front of Paul Barnett. Fearn said he believes they got the windows installed last week.
“They should be closed up to where they can start the build out on the inside now,” he said.
The former Three Sisters building, next to Rallys, has transformed to a black painted building with tinted windows. Fearn said he has not received any building plans for the building on Brookway Boulevard.
Restaurant expansion
Fatheads LLC, located in the West Lincoln community across from the school, announced it will start construction to expand. The restaurant recently opened in West Lincoln.
The company announced Sunday they would start on construction to expand the kitchen space and add a drive thru. Fatheads will remain open during the construction but asks patrons to bear with the noise and mess starting this week.
Fatheads is open Wednesday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 990 West Lincoln Drive Southwest, Brookhaven.
