Learn more about food plots through MSU Extension

BROOKHAVEN — Hunters and habitat managers can learn more about food plots later this month thanks to the Lincoln County Extension Office. Mississippi State University Extension Service has two seminars coming up.
One of those seminars is a Private Applicator Training needed to use pesticides. The class is three hours long and costs $20 which must be paid by check or money order. Private Applicator Training is needed to receive your Private Applicator License. The class will begin at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 29 in the Extension Office at the Lincoln County Courthouse.
A wildlife food plots class will follow in the afternoon of Sept. 29. Anyone interested in learning how to maximize the production of food plots on their land can take the course. The course uses research based knowledge on food plot management and is free. The class starts at 1:30 p.m. in the Lincoln County Courthouse
