Local eateries pass health inspections, first permit issued for new gas station

BROOKHAVEN — Mississippi Department of Health officials conducted health inspections at a handful of Brookhaven establishments this week. Two gas stations, a sandwich shop and a fast food restaurant passed the inspections with flying colors.
Wendy’s located at 935 Brookway Boulevard passed its health inspection with an A for the 15th straight time since 2016 Tuesday.
Bob’s Sandwhich Shop on the Boulevard passed its first health inspection with an A Tuesday. Bob’s second location is a food truck located by Blue Sky and has yet to open to the public yet but was close to opening when the owner was hit with The Dart.

B-Kwik No. 12 located at East Lincoln Drive NE earned an A Tuesday for the first time.
Kayden Kumar LLC was issued a permit by the health department but was not assigned a grade yet according to Mississippi Department of Health records. The address listed is for the Shell Gas Station Harry Kumar purchased at 806 US51 North.
